T.O. headed a "Mile High?"

According to ESPN.com's Senior writer Len Pasquarelli, outspoken, yet talented, Philadelphia Eagles receiver Terrell Owens met with Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan today. The get together was described as a "get-acquainted session."

Pasquarelli writes:

The consensus around the league has been that, since most teams believe the Eagles will release Owens before they must pay him bonuses totaling $7.5 million in March, the trade market for him would be blunted. Eagles coach Andy Reid insisted during Senior Bowl all-star game practices last week, though, that several teams had indicated an interest in having trade talks.

As bad and cliche as this sounds, the addition of T.O. would make Denver an instant frontrunner for the Super Bowl.

Again, I think you may be giving this jackass a little more credit than he deserves. His presence in Denver does not change the fact that Jake Plummer is still the quarterback. He may have gone most of the season without displaying his erractic skills, but as should have been expected, they surfaced when the season mattered most. The greatest receiver in the world, which I'm not claiming jackass is, will not lead a team with a mediocre (at best) quarterback to the promised land.

Things that will happen if T.O. goes to the Broncos:

In preseason, TO will declare Jake the Snake the best QB he's ever played with (in an effort to verbally slap McNabb and Garcia). About 8 weeks into the regular season, TO will complain that he's not getting the ball enough and feels disrespected in the Denver media. Somehow the media will be "out to get him" this year and wise decision challenged Jake Plummer will feel the need to press, thus making pro-bowl candidates out of secondary players of the opponents.

T.O. Looks like the Incredible Hulk with that green "shirt". I guess he says "You don't want to see me when you don't throw me the ball. and win games. and bow down at my feet...."
